On February 13, 2010 from 10am to 12pm Desert Communities United Way volunteers will be engaging children in reading Valentine's Day themed books and making Valentine's Day cards for the community at Sterling Commons Alzheimer's Residence.

Formally the MLK DAY project, the Deep Creek Clean-Up has been scheduled for Saturday, February 20 2010! Desert Communities United Way has partnered with the Wilderness Society to hike into Deep Creek Dam to participate in graffiti and litter removal.

Desert Communities United Way is teaming up with HandsOn Network to celebrate the good things people do for their communities through the “Give A Day. Get A Disney Day.” program.  Starting January 1, 2010, Guests can go to www.disneyparks.com to search for volunteer opportunities made available through HandsOn Network and sign up for a day of volunteer service.
